Trados crashed at specific segment

Hi,

My Trados Studio 2022 SR2 - 17.2.11.19134 crashed when I clicked Ctrl+Enter for saving a specific segment. I have enabled one server based and one file based termbase, the same settings for translation memories. I am trying to save "Varios Largos" from Spanish to Estonian. I have a fuzzy match of 91% ("ERI PIKKUSED") from server based termbase. I just need to change case to lowercase so that the final translation would be "Eri pikkused". After the necessary change and clicking Ctrl+Enter, Trados crashes.

After re-opening Trados manually, I managed to save the segment. Perhaps using "Quick Add New Term" is related to this crash? I used this feature for file based termbase for almost in every segment before crash.

I also want to note that the I am translating a project which includes many files and I have all of these opened simultaneously (in Files view I selected all files and clicked "Open For Translation").

I do not have Multiterm installed separately.

I hope someone can help,

Olav

RAT can be the cause. First please check, if you don't have a shortcut conflict with "Quick add term". This is the default setting in Trados Studio without RAT. And after adding RAT this shortcut is double assigned.

Then make sure, the languages in the termbase have exactly the same names as those in the project. For example if you use the English GUI, but the termbase has language names in German, RAT will fail. And also it may fail, if you're trying to add terms to the server TB.

As a next step, please go to the View ribbon and perform "Reset window layout". This causes wonder sometimes.

Another measure to help could be simply reinstalling TS without uninstalling. This time, however, I would copy the most recent installer (exe file) to the desktop, then right click it and select "Run as admin". After that I would recommend to download the MultiTerm installer, save it to desktop and perform the installation as admin. This should resolve many problems.
