trados studio 2024 will not start

I live in Greece but travel a lot.Two days ago, I landed in Zanzibar.

Since we landed, my TRADOS 2024 would not work at all.

I tried different things such as using VPN, renaming files, repairing the app, uninstalling and re- installing but nothing works.

I only got one message initially  "The is no instance of a key"

I am desperate because I have projects to work on and my clients are not happy about this.

Kind regards

"Question improvement suggestion": Please provide the exact version of Trados Studio 2024 you are using, the operating system of your computer, and any recent changes you made to your system or software. Also, if possible, provide the full error message you received.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

I understand that you're having trouble starting Trados Studio 2024. Here are some steps you can try:

Step 1: Check your internet connection. Since you're traveling, it's possible that your internet connection might be unstable or not strong enough to run Trados Studio.

Step 2: Try running Trados Studio as an administrator. Right-click on the Trados Studio icon and select 'Run as administrator'.

Step 3: If you're using a VPN, try disabling it temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.

Step 4: If the issue persists, you might want to try a clean reinstallation of Trados Studio. Uninstall the software, restart your computer, and then reinstall Trados Studio.

Step 5: If none of the above steps work, it might be an issue with your license. You can check your license status by going to 'Help' > 'Licenses...' in Trados Studio.

If none of these steps resolve your issue, it would be helpful to have more information about your system and any error messages you're receiving.

I hope this answer addressed your question. If not, please reject the answer, add the question improvement suggestion information, and click the RWS Community AI checkbox on the right to try again.

Try a reset.  To do this just close Trados Studio and then delete these folders:

    %appdata%\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio18\

    %appdata%\Trados\Trados Studio\18\

You will lose your plugins, and also your settings, but your projects and other resources will remain untouched. Putting the plugins back is trivial via the integrated appstore.

If you can't find these folders then you need to unhide your hidden files/folders:

    www.howtogeek.com/.../

Then restart Trados Studio and see if that helped.
