Adding Philippine languages

Can you please add the Philippine languages Pangasinan and Iloko in Trados? Or can I do that personally?

"Question improvement suggestion": Please provide more information about the version of Trados Studio you are using and the operating system of your computer. This will help in providing a more accurate solution.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

Adding new languages to Trados Studio is not something that can be done by users. The languages supported by Trados Studio are determined by the software developers. However, Trados Studio does support a wide range of languages, and it's possible that the languages you're interested in might be added in future updates.

As of now, the Philippine languages Pangasinan and Iloko are not officially supported in Trados Studio. However, you can use the 'Custom Locale' feature in Trados Studio to create a custom language setting that can be used as a workaround. Here's how you can do it:

    Step 1: Open Trados Studio.

Step 2: Go to 'File' > 'Options'.

Step 3: In the 'Options' window, go to 'Languages' > 'Language Pairs' > 'All Language Pairs' > 'Language Resources'.

Step 4: Click on 'Add Locale'.

Step 5: In the 'Add Locale' window, enter the details for the language you want to add. You can use the ISO 639-3 codes for Pangasinan (pag) and Iloko (ilo).

Step 6: Click 'OK' to save the new locale.

Please note that this is a workaround and may not provide the same level of support as for officially supported languages. Also, remember to update your Trados Studio to the latest version to have the most recent language packs and features.
