Hello everyone,
I am using the Terminology Verifier in Trados 2022 SR2 - 17.2.11.19134. I have enabled 'check for possible non-usage of the target terms' and 'ignore locked segments'. Following RWS support staff's advice, I have set the minimum match value to 70.
My problem is as follows: The verification is not very concise, leading to hundreds if not thousands of false positives in larger files. I would like to increase my productivity / decrease the amount of false positives.
In particular, I am wondering:
1) Often, there are 2+ entries in my TB for one word. Trados then flags all but one (the one I have chosen for the target text).
->Is there a possibility to tell Trados to not create positives when one of these terms is found in the target segment?
2) Many positives are created because Trados does not distinguish word classes, for example: I have translated a source term (noun) using a target term (verb). Trados will let me know that I might have missed a term, even though I have translated it. Sometimes Trados 'recognises' a missing term from the TB that is a different word class in the source text. Trados will flag this, even though the terms from the termbase and the source text were different to begin with.
->Is there a way Trados can recognise word classes and make more accurate suggestions without setting a higher minimum match value?
Thanks in advance for your advice :)
