Trados 2019 - Access to Batch Tasks menu and OneDrive folder denied

Hello. I was wondering whether anyone might be able to help me with a problem I have had for a few months now with SDL Trados 2019, which I reinstalled last year in a new computer with the MS Windows 2011 23H2 operating system. When I’m working on a text and I start the backup process I receive a strange error message: “Access to the path C:\Users \ steve \ OneDrive \ Belgeler \ Studio2019 \ AutoSave \ xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx is denied”. It’s weird … I don’t have a ‘Belgeler’ folder in the ‘OneDrive’ section in my PC. And then, when I try to access the batch task menu to finalize a job and update the TMs I am again informed that access is denied. As one might say, Jeepers Creepers! What’s going on? I would be very grateful if someone could provide me with some guidance on how to get this issue sorted. Basically, I can complete a translation and create a Word file but, apparently, I am not able to update my TMs.

"Question improvement suggestion": Please provide more information about the error message you receive when trying to access the batch task menu. Also, it would be helpful if you could specify any recent changes you made to your system or Trados Studio before this issue started occurring.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

It seems like you're experiencing issues with Trados Studio 2019 related to access permissions. The error message you're receiving indicates that Trados Studio is trying to access a path on your OneDrive that doesn't exist or isn't accessible.

Here are a few steps you can take to resolve this issue:

Step 1: Check your OneDrive settings and ensure that Trados Studio has the necessary permissions to access and modify files in your OneDrive folder.

Step 2: Verify the path that Trados Studio is trying to access. If the 'Belgeler' folder doesn't exist in your OneDrive, you might need to change the path that Trados Studio is using for autosave and TM updates.

Step 3: If the above steps don't resolve the issue, you can try resetting Trados Studio to its default settings. Here's how you can do this:

    - Close Trados Studio.

    - Go to: C:\Users\%username%\App Data\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio (you can copy/paste this path directly in Windows File Explorer).

    - For Trados Studio 2019: rename the folder 15.0.0.0 to OLD_15.0.0.0.

    - If you can't find the paths above, open Windows File Explorer, click on View and check the 'Hidden Items' checkbox.

Please note that resetting Trados Studio to its default settings will remove any customizations you've made to the software, so you might want to back up any important data before proceeding.
