Please help ! -- Error message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

Now, I am using Trados 2024 for translation of a new project. When I try to register terms in the term base, the error message “Object reference not set to an instance of an object” appears, and no term can be registered in the existing term base or the newly created term base.

Please let me know how to solve this problem.

    Hello,

The error message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" is a common issue in .NET applications, including Trados Studio. It usually means that you're trying to use an object that hasn't been initialized yet. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

Step 1: Ensure that your target language is set correctly in your project settings. This is a common cause of this error.

Step 2: Check for updates within the application. If there are any available updates for Trados Studio, install them and try again.

Step 3: Reset your Trados Studio settings. You can do this by following the steps provided in the link in the context. Please remember to back up your settings and resources before doing this.

Step 4: If the problem persists, consider reinstalling Trados Studio. Again, make sure to back up your settings and resources before doing this.
