Sorting segments by newest in Trados Studio 2024

Hello RWS Community,

I am working on a translation project in Trados Studio Professional 2024 with a TM and multiple translation suggestions for each segment. However, the segments do not appear in chronological order based on their creation time but seem mixed.

Is there a way to sort segments from newest to oldest when working in the Editor?

Thank you in advance for your help!

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

In Trados Studio 2024, the Editor view does not directly support sorting segments by their creation time. The segments in the Editor view are displayed in the order they appear in the source document. However, you can sort the translation units in the Translation Memories view by their creation date. Here's how you can do it:

Step 1: Open your Translation Memory (TM) in Trados Studio.

Step 2: Go to the "Translation Units" view.

Step 3: Click on the "Created" column header. This will sort the translation units by their creation date. Clicking once will sort them in ascending order (oldest to newest), and clicking again will sort them in descending order (newest to oldest).

Please note that this will not change the order of segments in the Editor view, but it will allow you to see the most recent translations in your TM.

I hope this answer addressed your question. If not, please reject the answer, add the question improvement suggestion information, and click the RWS Community AI checkbox on the right to try again.
