Unable to create a new project

Hi, I'm using Trados Studio 2022 SR2 - 17.2.11.19134.

When I click on "Create a new project", I get an error message saying "Your version of Trados only allows a maximum of three target languages. Delete additional languages from the default template".

I checked my default template, it only had three languages, but I deleted all language pairs but one. Then I tried to create a new project, but I'm still getting the same error.

I've made sure my Trados version is up to date, I've shut down and reopened the software, no luck. I'm not sure what else to do. Any thoughts?

"Question improvement suggestion": The question is well-structured and provides all the necessary details. However, it would be helpful to know if any recent changes were made to the system or software before the issue occurred.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

It seems like you've done a thorough job of troubleshooting already. The error message you're receiving is typically associated with the Freelance license of Trados Studio, which allows only three target languages at a time.

However, you mentioned that you've already reduced the number of languages in your default template to one and you're still encountering the issue. This is unusual and might be a result of a glitch in the software.

Here are a few steps you can try:

Step 1: Reset your default template. You can follow the instructions in this article: gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge Name=000004918

Step 2: If the issue persists, try creating a new project template with only one target language and see if you can create a new project using this template.

Step 3: If none of the above steps work, you might need to reinstall Trados Studio. Please make sure to back up your settings and resources before doing so.

I hope this answer addressed your question. If not, please reject the answer, add the question improvement suggestion information, and click the RWS Community AI checkbox on the right to try again.
