Termbase stuck on "searching for terms"

For a while now, Trados has been very slow loading termbase results, and lately it's not loading any results at all, it's stuck on "searching":

Screenshot of Trados Studio's Term Recognition window with a message 'Searching for terms...' indicating a loading or searching process.

I mainly use the IATE plug-in, but also termbases provided from my client. Today I tried disabeling IATE and deleting the client provided termbase from the project and readded it from my computer, still with the same result. I have no other termbases and run Trados Studio 2022 SR2 - 17.2.11.19134 on a Windows 16 GB Ram PC.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Hello Rosanna Lithgow,

It seems like you're experiencing issues with the termbase in Trados Studio 2022. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Step 1: Try to repair your Trados Studio installation. You can do this by going to the Control Panel, selecting Programs and Features, finding Trados Studio 2022 in the list, right-clicking it, and selecting Repair.

Step 2: If the issue persists, try to create a new project and add the termbase to it. This will help determine if the issue is with the specific project or the termbase itself.

Step 3: If the issue is with the termbase, try to open it in MultiTerm to see if there are any issues with the termbase itself.

Step 4: If none of the above steps work, you might want to consider reinstalling Trados Studio 2022.

Remember to back up your work and settings before making any changes to your software.
