"Impossible to verify document. Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection" - How can I solve it?

Hi everyyone,

I've been having this issue with Trados, sometimes it displays this error message when I try to verify a document. I checked other posts in the community and some people solved it by changing the name of the folder of Trados, but I can't find it for Trados 2022, which is the one I'm currently using, I can find it only for 2017 (I used to have it). Can someone help?

"Question improvement suggestion": Please provide more details about the steps you took before encountering the error, the type of document you were trying to verify, and any recent changes you made to your system or Trados Studio. Also, mention if you have tried any troubleshooting steps other than renaming the folder.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

The error message you're encountering usually occurs when the software tries to access an element from a collection that doesn't exist. This could be due to a variety of reasons, including corrupted files or issues with the software itself.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Step 1: Close all running instances of Trados Studio.

Step 2: Navigate to the following path: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\

Step 3: Look for the folder named 'Studio17'. If you can't find it, make sure that hidden files and folders are shown in your Windows settings.

Step 4: Rename the 'Studio17' folder. This will reset the basic settings of Trados Studio.

Step 5: Restart Trados Studio and try to verify your document again.

If the issue persists, you might need to reinstall Trados Studio. Please ensure to back up any important data before doing so.
