Studio 2015 Insert Symbols

Hi, in Studio 2015 all of a sudden the Insert Symbol option has disappeared in the Advanced tab. What have I done wrong and how can I get it back?

    Hi Antonella,

    I doubt you've done anything wrong! I've seen this before, and experienced it myself with another plugin. The solution for me was to reset Studio by renaming this folder and restarting Studio:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\12.0.0.0

    So I just added an underscore to the end like this:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\12.0.0.0_

    That did the trick and all the ribbon icons were back.

    I have same problem. In fact, I have never seen it. My Advanced ribbon in Editor view has sections Formatting, File Actions, Segment Actions & Editing.
    When I put cursor into a new empty target segment, some other items flash up on the ribbon then disappear when source is copied to target (my setting). These items include Search, Any TM, Bookmarks, Insert Symbol.
    If I translate the segment and confirm, when I go back to the segment, these extra ribbon items appear and stay visible. But if I go to another segment where source is already copied, they disappear again.
    I tried your solution above but it made no difference, although I had to reset my user profile.
    Any ideas? Will it be better in 2017?
