Where can I switch from Segments to Words for the progress bar? To show the progress in segments is useless.

"Question improvement suggestion": Please provide the version of Trados Studio you are currently using and any error messages you may have encountered.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

In Trados Studio, the progress bar is designed to show the progress in segments by default. This was implemented to ensure that segments with just empty space and/or tags are not disregarded. However, if you prefer to view the progress in words, you can do so by following these steps:

    Step 1: Open Trados Studio.

Step 2: Go to the "View" tab.

    Step 3: Click on "Progress".

Step 4: From the drop-down menu, select "Words".

Please note that these steps may vary slightly depending on the version of Trados Studio you are using. If you are unable to find the "Progress" option or if it does not allow you to switch between "Segments" and "Words", it may be due to the specific settings or limitations of your version of Trados Studio.

I hope this answer addressed your question. If not, please reject the answer, add the question improvement suggestion information, and click the RWS Community AI checkbox on the right to try again.

I think you're referring to this one?

Screenshot of Trados Studio interface showing a file named '11 - Investor Report.pptx.sdlxliff' with 305 words, file status 'In Translation' and 7% progress.

If so just change the columns you want in that view by right-clicking in the header row and selecting what you need.  For example:
