Edited Bilingual file not updating the sdlxliff file.

Hello Community,

I am not able to get the updated results of the exported bilingual file when i import it back to the sdlxliff file. I tried exploring the community but none of the solutions seem to have been working so far. It's been a while since I'm facing this issue.

For context, when I "Export for bilingual review", I do it in the same folder as my sdlxliff file.

I'd really appreciate some help regarding this issue.

"Question improvement suggestion": Please provide more details such as the version of Trados Studio you are using, the steps you have taken to resolve the issue, and any error messages you may have encountered.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

Based on your description, it seems like you're having trouble updating your .sdlxliff file with the changes made in the exported bilingual file. Here are some steps you can try:

Step 1: Ensure that you have saved all changes in the bilingual file before importing it back into Trados Studio.

Step 2: When importing the bilingual file back into Trados Studio, make sure you are selecting the correct file and that it's not open in any other program.

Step 3: If you're still not seeing the changes, try closing and reopening Trados Studio. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve the issue.

Step 4: If the problem persists, it might be due to the way you're using the "Export for Bilingual Review" function. This function is intended for reviewing purposes, not for translating empty segments. If you're trying to translate empty segments, you should copy the source to target in the .sdlxliff file, then review these segments in the exported file. The changes to the actual text should then be re-imported into the .sdlxliff file.
