How do I clear all text in target segments in a Studio 2015 project?

Dear Studio 2015 experts,

I ran the pseudo translation function to make sure every file in my new project is fine.

Now I can't find a quick way to clear all of the text in the target segments.  Can someone tell me how?

Thank you for your help.

  • Are you in the translation mode or did you open the text for review? In the second case close and open for translation. If the text is open for translation and appears after deleting with tracked change, switch off track changes. This command is located on the Review tab.
Then simply press ALT+SHIFT+DEL to delete all segments with status draft (and untranslated). If your really want to delete ALL text, follow Pauls advice or better use Toolkit as suggested by Paul too.

  • Hello Jerzy,

you are right, I had switched off track changes one time, but you need to do it step by step every time.

    So it is:
    1. open for translation, you are in Editor mode.
    2. menu: review: switch off track changes.
    3. make the first row blue by clicking on number 1 in the first column.
    4. click in the first column on the last row number of the file
    5. press alt+del
the cells in the target text are all empty now.

I only missed step 2, I should have repeated it at each attempt of trying to delete the rows in the TT.

Thank you and Walter and Paul.

    Have a nice day,
    Anastasia
