Unable to use termbase in Studio 2024

All of a sudden my Studio cannot use the existing termbase in an existing project today. The error message when I open the project on Studio is "Could not connect to the 'xxx' termbase, so you cannot use it for term recognition." and then term recognition doesn't work; the termbase is also not enabled (not marked in the Enabled box) in the Termbases window.

My studio version is 2024 - 18.0.2.3255.

Once I tried opening Multiterm, I got three consecutive error popups that has the same text I think?

.Error dialog box with a red cross symbol indicating 'Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx failed due to the following error: 8007007e The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E).' with Knowledge Base and Community buttons below.

Multiterm can be opened though, but I cannot open any termbase.

What I have done:

1. Uninstalled and reinstalled Multiterm

2. Update my Windows 11

3. Update my AMD drivers

    Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your termbase in Trados Studio 2024. Based on the information you've provided, it seems like you've already taken some troubleshooting steps, such as reinstalling MultiTerm and updating your Windows 11 and AMD drivers.

Here are a few additional steps you can try:

Step 1: Check the path to your termbase. Make sure it's correct and that you have the necessary permissions if it's located on a network drive.

Step 2: Update Trados Studio to the latest version. You can check for updates within the application.

Step 3: In Trados Studio, navigate to Project Settings > Language Pairs > All Language Pairs > Termbases. Verify that the termbase is added and the settings are correct.

Step 4: Try re-registering the termbase. You can do this by removing it from the project settings and adding it again.

Step 5: Check the termbase in MultiTerm for any issues. If possible, ask your client to resend the termbase.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it would be helpful to have the exact error messages you received when trying to open MultiTerm and the termbase. Also, please let us know if there were any recent changes to your system or software before this issue occurred.
