Trados Studio 2015 Shows Wrong Document Status and the Progress Bar is 0%

Hi,

My Studio 2015 sometimes shows the article status as "translation rejected" and the progress bar shows 0% even though there is no translation rejected. I tried to solve the problem by signing off the document, however, it didn't work. Could anyone please help me with that?

And  plus, could the community add a new function of recording the questions that have been asked by the same person so that he/she can view them when logged in and thus will not ask the same question?

Thanks~

    Hi Maggie,

I think that sometimes, and I'm not sure why, a segment or more has it's status set to something above the rest of the file.  So if you are confirming to "Translated" status then one or more segments somehow get changed to "Tranlsation Approved or Rejected".  The effect this seems to have is sometimes to move the file into "Review" and this means you will show a very low progress despite having translated all the file already.

However, when it shows zero % and you also can't see any changed statuses in the file then it's a mystery and we have been unable to reproduce this to see what's going on.

One way that sometimes works is to run a wordcount batch task, or an analysis, and this sometimes resets the status on the file again.  But at the end of the say I think it's unlikely to cause a problem as when you return the file it probably won't show up this way... at least this is my experience when being handed files like this.  If the file is your own then don't worry too much about it as this only affects the handy statistics from being correct.  It shouldn 't affect the translation or your ability to get a target file out.

    Regards

  • Hi, Paul,

    Thank you for your reply.

I made a mistake when I said that there was no segment rejected. Actually, there was. I just assumed that I had every segment change accepted. When I rolled back to check the whole translations, I did find that there was one segment in the status of rejected.

Sorry if my careless omission had caused you and your team trouble.

    Best Regards,
    Maggie
