Target segments not populating when using cloud-based TMs

When using cloud-based TMs to translate a document locally, the target segments are only populated with exact or fuzzy matches when I click on each segment individually. However, when using file-based TMs, segments are populated automatically. Also, automated translation isn't applied when no match is found eventhoug I have this option checked in the Project Settings and DeepL added as an MT provider. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks for any help!

"Question improvement suggestion": Please provide more information about the version of Trados Studio you are using, the operating system, and any recent changes or updates you have made to the software. Also, it would be helpful to know if you have tried any troubleshooting steps.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

It seems like you're experiencing an issue with cloud-based Translation Memories (TMs) in Trados Studio. This could be due to a number of factors, but based on your description, it seems like the TM might not be fully updated when you start working on a project.

Here are some steps you can try:

Step 1: Before you start working on a project, especially if it was created a few days ago, run a Batch Task -> Pre-translate. This will ensure that you have the latest translation results from the TM.

Step 2: Check your Project Settings to ensure that the option for automated translation is enabled. If it's already enabled, try disabling it, saving the settings, and then re-enabling it. This can sometimes resolve issues with settings not being applied correctly.

Step 3: Make sure that DeepL is correctly set up as your Machine Translation (MT) provider. You can do this by going to Project Settings -> Language Pairs -> All Language Pairs -> Automated Translation. Here, you should see DeepL listed as your MT provider. If it's not, you'll need to add it.

Step 4: If none of the above steps work, you might want to consider updating your version of Trados Studio or reinstalling it, as this can sometimes resolve issues with cloud-based TMs.
