Unable to open a server-based translation memory using SDL authentication (Trados 2022 SR2)

To connect to a server-based translation memory, my client has instructed me to use SDL authentication but, when I try to sign in, the only two login provider options are "GroupShare Authentication" and "Windows Authentication." How can I sign in using SDL authentication?

"Question improvement suggestion": Please provide more details about the error message you are receiving, if any, and any troubleshooting steps you have already taken. Also, it would be helpful to know if there have been any recent changes to your system or software.

    Hello,

It seems like you're having trouble accessing a server-based translation memory using SDL authentication in Trados Studio 2022 SR2. Here are some steps you can try:

Step 1: Ensure that you have the correct server address. This should have been provided by your client or system administrator.

Step 2: Check that you are using the correct username and password. These should also have been provided by your client or system administrator.

Step 3: If you are still unable to see the SDL Authentication option, it might be due to a configuration issue on the server side. Please ask your client or system administrator to check the server settings and ensure that SDL Authentication is enabled.

Step 4: If the issue persists, it might be a good idea to reinstall Trados Studio 2022 SR2 to ensure that there are no issues with the software installation.

Please note that SDL Authentication has been replaced with RWS Authentication in recent versions of Trados Studio. If your client is using an older version of the server software, they might need to upgrade to a newer version that supports RWS Authentication.
