Hello,
every time I try to translate an Excel file on my trados, when it comes to saving the translated file at the very end, I get the above-mentioned message "Impossibile salvare il contenuto di destinazione: Riferimento a un oggetto non impostato su un'istanza di oggetto."
I have tried to save the original file in different Excel formats/versions, but I still have the exact same problem.
I have Trados Studio 2019.
Can you please help me?

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello Chiara,

It sounds like you're encountering a frustrating issue when trying to save your translated Excel file in Trados Studio. The error message "Impossibile salvare il contenuto di destinazione: Riferimento a un oggetto non impostato su un'istanza di oggetto" typically indicates a problem with the file or the settings in Trados. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

**Step 1:** Ensure that the target language is set correctly in Trados Studio. Go to **File > Options > Editor > Languages** and check that the target language is selected.

**Step 2:** Try saving the original Excel file in a different format (like .xls instead of .xlsx) and then re-import it into Trados Studio.

**Step 3:** Check for any unsupported special characters in the worksheet names or the content. If you find any, remove them and try saving again.

**Step 4:** Reset your Trados settings. You can do this by following the instructions in the Trados support documentation.

**Step 5:** If the issue persists, consider reinstalling Trados Studio, ensuring you back up your settings and resources beforehand.

**Step 6:** As a workaround, you can also configure the File Type settings in Trados to not translate worksheet names, which may help avoid this error.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, please provide any additional details about the error or the steps you've taken, and I'll be happy to assist further!
