Trados Studio 2024 is not starting.

Trados Studio 2024 is not responding. When I try to open Studio, it gets stuck and doesn't open. It's trying to open the last project I was working with.

I have tried to restart my computer but didn't help.

Question improvement suggestion: Provide the exact error message or any additional details about the project you were working on to help narrow down the issue.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

It seems you're experiencing an issue with Trados Studio 2024 not starting and getting stuck on the last project you were working on. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:

**Step 1:** Close Trados Studio completely if it is still running.

**Step 2:** Try running Trados Studio as an administrator. Right-click on the Trados Studio icon and select "Run as administrator."

**Step 3:** If the issue persists, navigate to the following directory:

    `C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\`

Rename the folder named `Studio24` (or similar) to `Studio24_old`. This will reset your settings and may help resolve the issue.

**Step 4:** Check for any updates for Trados Studio and your operating system. Ensure that you have the latest version of Trados Studio installed, as well as any necessary Windows updates.

**Step 5:** If you suspect that the last project is causing the issue, try moving the project files to a different location on your local drive and then attempt to open Trados Studio again.

**Step 6:** If none of the above steps work, consider performing a repair installation of Trados Studio. You can do this by going to Control Panel > Programs and Features, selecting Trados Studio, and choosing the "Repair" option.

**Step 7:** Lastly, if the problem continues, check if any antivirus software is interfering with Trados Studio. You may need to add the Trados Studio installation folder as an exception in your antivirus settings.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please provide any specific error messages you encounter, and I would be happy to assist you further.
