Activation of “Suivi de modifications” (Track changes) triggers endless “Publier les détails du projet” assistant (to Publish project details on a server) in a loop in Trados Studio 2022 French Pro

After a problem yesterday, I’m experiencing another frustrating issue in Trados Studio 2022 Professional (French version, 2022 SR2 - 17.2.12.19268) related to activating “Suivi de modifications” (Track Changes) in my project.

I want to enable Suivi de modifications to track changes in my translation files as part of my standard workflow.

I've tried

  • Clicking Activate Suivi de modifications in the project view.

  • When the “Publier les détails du projet” assistant pops up, I either close it or try to navigate away.

  • Restarting Trados Studio, reopening the project, and attempting activation again.

What happens:

  • Each time I activate Suivi de modifications, the “Publier les détails du projet” assistant immediately appears.

  • If I close the assistant without completing or if I cancel properly, Trados reverts to the project view but then triggers the assistant again upon the next attempt.

  • This causes an endless loop, making it impossible to activate tracking.

What I expected:

  • Activating Suivi de modifications should either:

    • Complete successfully and allow me to track changes, or

    • Allow me to cancel or exit the publishing assistant cleanly without getting stuck in a loop.

Additional information:

  • Running on Windows 10/11, Trados Studio 2022 Professional (French).

  • Running Trados with administrator privileges.

  • No error messages are shown during the loop.

  • Tried resetting project settings and creating new projects, but issue persists.
