Illegible text in lowest line and in opened windows

Hello,

after upgrading to SR1 I am not able to read the text in opened windows, if I open a window I have to resize it every time because its opened very small, I am not able to read the lowest line with counters... There is no possibility to repair (only one option is to uninstall). I have tried to control the compatibility and made changes in this way but nothing changed I have tried every possible change in my Windows 11 system (after buying a new PC I had to change the resolution to lower one because 3200x2000 made similar problems, I didnt see the lowest line, but I have had only that problem) but now way... Everytime Trados make an upgrade its even worst...

Trados Studio interface showing a translation results window with text in multiple languages and a smaller 'Options' window open in the foreground displaying spell check settings.

Question improvement suggestion: Provide specific details about the version of Trados Studio you are using and any error messages you may have encountered.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello Klara,

It sounds like you're experiencing some frustrating display issues with Trados Studio after your recent upgrade. Here are some steps you can take to potentially resolve the problem:

    **Step 1: Adjust Compatibility Settings**

    1. Locate the Trados Studio icon on your desktop or Start menu.

    2. Right-click on the icon and select **Properties**.

    3. Click on the **Compatibility** tab.

    4. From the dropdown menu under **Compatibility mode**, select **Windows 7/8**.

    5. Check the box for **Disable display scaling on high DPI settings**.

    6. Click **OK** to confirm the changes.

    **Step 2: Change Display Scaling**

    1. Open the **Control Panel** and navigate to **Appearance and Personalization**.

    2. Click on **Display**.

    3. Under **Make text and other items larger or smaller**, select **Medium - 125%**.

    4. Click **Apply** and sign out of your profile, then sign back in to see the changes.

**Step 3: Reset Window Layout in Trados Studio**

    1. Open Trados Studio.

    2. Go to the **View** menu and select **Reset Window Layout**.

    **Step 4: Repair Installation**

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, consider running a repair installation:

    1. Close all RWS applications.

    2. Open the **Control Panel** and navigate to **Programs and Features**.

    3. Find **Trados Studio** in the list, right-click it, and select **Uninstall/Change** > **Repair**.

    4. Restart Trados Studio after the repair process is complete.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please let me know, and we can explore further options.

I hope this answer addressed your question. If not, please reject the answer, add the question improvement suggestion information, and click the RWS Community AI checkbox on the right to try again.

  • Now I discovered an other illegilbe window, which I can resize but not the "squares" on which I should click to choose the option:

A popup window in Trados Studio titled 'Autopropaga traduzione confermata' with options 'Si', 'No', 'Annulla', and 'Guida'. The text shows a 100% match for a translation segment.
