Strange behavior in Trados Studio 2024 SR1 Editor

Hi there,

I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I’ve noticed that when moving from one segment to another in the Studio Editor, the navigation sometimes behaves unexpectedly. For example, even if I scroll up to view the top segments, it occasionally jumps back down to the lower segments.

I realize it’s difficult to explain this clearly without a demonstration, so I’m happy to record a short video to illustrate the issue if needed. I just wanted to check first if anyone else has experienced this behavior as well. If so, I’ll go ahead and prepare a demo.

I’d appreciate your feedback.

Kind regards,

Sameh Ragab

Question improvement suggestion: Provide specific details about the unexpected behavior, such as the exact steps taken when the issue occurs, and mention the operating system and version of Trados Studio being used.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello Sameh,

Thank you for reaching out regarding the unexpected navigation behavior in Trados Studio 2024 SR1. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

**Step 1:** Check if the 'Auto-scroll Source Document' feature is enabled. You can find this option in the View tab under the Actions section. This feature helps keep the source and target segments in sync while navigating.

**Step 2:** Ensure that you are using the latest version of Trados Studio. Sometimes, updates include fixes for known issues. You can check for updates within the application.

**Step 3:** If the problem persists, consider resetting your layout. Go to View > Reset Window Layout to see if this resolves the navigation issue.

**Step 4:** If you are still experiencing the problem, it may be helpful to record a short video demonstrating the behavior, as you mentioned. This can provide more context for troubleshooting.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, please provide additional details such as the specific steps you take before the issue occurs, and any error messages you may encounter. This information will help in diagnosing the problem more effectively.
