Custom termbase fields (Notes, Status, etc.) not showing in Term Recognition pane (in Trados Studio 2024 SR1)

Hi guys,

I am test-driving the new version of Trados Studio (Trados Studio 2024 SR1 - 18.1.2.6370) and so far, I am very much enjoying it.

However, I have one issue. It doesn't seem possible to show termbase fields, such as Notes, Status, etc. in the Term Recognition pane.

I can display the termbase name and languages, but no other (custom) fields.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Michael

Question improvement suggestion: Provide specific details about the termbase configuration and any troubleshooting steps you have already attempted.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello Michael,

Step 1: Ensure that you are using the 'Term Recognition' tab in Trados Studio 2024 SR1, as this is where automatic term recognition occurs. The 'Termbase Search' tab is for manual searches and may not display the custom fields you are looking for.

Step 2: Check if your termbase is correctly configured in MultiTerm. Open MultiTerm and verify that the custom fields (like Notes and Status) are set up properly in the termbase definition.

Step 3: Make sure that both Trados Studio and MultiTerm are updated to the latest versions. Sometimes, discrepancies in versions can lead to issues with term recognition.

Step 4: If the problem persists, try resetting the window layout in Trados Studio by going to View > Reset Window Layout. This can sometimes resolve display issues.

Step 5: If you have recently updated Trados Studio, consider reverting to a previous version to see if that resolves the issue, as similar problems have been reported after updates in the past.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, please provide more details about your termbase configuration and any troubleshooting steps you have already taken. This will help in diagnosing the problem more effectively.
