No longer able to copy-paste from the Termbase Viewer in Studio 2024

Hello,

Here is the issue: When I try to copy-paste info from the Termbase Viewer panel (like a web address recorded as a terminology source), it pastes the previous element in the clipboard (i.e. it does not record the copied information). Using the copy-paste shortcuts works everywhere outside the Termbase Viewer panel, including within MultiTerm. Additionally, while in the Termbase Viewer panel, right-clicking does not open the menu where you can pick the Copy functionality.

Here is my setup:
Running Windows 11 as a virtual machine on a MacOS 15.6.1 through Parallel Desktop 26.

I never had this problem with this setup before. I am not sure exactly when this happened because I don't use this feature every day, but I believe it may be after the latest update. I have version SRI 18.1.2.6370 of Trados Studio 2024, and version SR1 18.1.2.3594 of Multiterm, which I believe are the latest. I tried the usual “restarting everything”.

Can someone help me solve this issue? Having to open MultiTerm separately to copy-paste a term source is not practical at all.

Thanks in advance,

Question improvement suggestion: Provide a detailed description of any error messages received, if applicable, and clarify if the issue persists after trying the suggested troubleshooting steps.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with the Termbase Viewer in Trados Studio 2024. Let's try to resolve this step by step:

**Step 1:** Ensure that you are using the latest version of both Trados Studio and MultiTerm. Sometimes, updates can fix bugs that may be causing your issue.

**Step 2:** Since you mentioned that the problem may have started after a recent update, consider running a repair installation for both Trados Studio and MultiTerm. You can do this through the Control Panel:

    - Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.

    - Find Trados Studio and MultiTerm in the list, right-click on each, and select "Repair."

**Step 3:** Check if the termbase you are trying to access is stored in a location that is not synced with any cloud services. If it is, move it to a local folder on your C:\ drive.

**Step 4:** Reset the MultiTerm termbase list settings. You can do this by navigating to the following path in Windows File Explorer:

    `C:\Users\%username%\App Data\Local\SDL\SDL Multi Term`

    - Depending on your version, rename the corresponding folder (e.g., "MultiTerm16" for MultiTerm 2021) to something like "MultiTerm16_old."

**Step 5:** Restart both MultiTerm and Trados Studio after making these changes and check if the copy-paste functionality in the Termbase Viewer is restored.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, please provide any error messages you may encounter, as this can help in diagnosing the problem further.
