Have you exported the sdltm as a TMX file? It might help rather than importing directly form an SDLTM file.

Firstly, thank you for your prompt reply. I tried updating SC TM's using TMX file and while it is better, not all TU's gets updated. Would you be able to tell me how to fix this?

Considering you're importing a Trados TM I highly doubt you have empty source segments.  I'd be surprised if Trados allowed them either... I would expect it not to error but just report that nothing was imported in those case, similar to what you seem to be experiencing in Smartcat.

What does the error log tell you?  Maybe some of them were already in your Smartcat TM so you don't need them?  I don't really see an error here, but something that needs to be explained based on what you already have in Smartcat and what you are trying to import.  You're the only one with all the information to analyse that.

Thank you for your comment. That one was easy. The main issue is with TMs where I encounter errors like the one attached. Do you have any suggestions for that? All these TMs work fine in Trados.ImportErrors_CCL FR TM_16Sep2025.tmx.txt

ok - so just about every one (by the looks of it) says this:

"Unit error detected 19535. The unit was not uploaded. Position of the unit in the file: line 228167, symbol 6.
One of the fragments contains invalid characters."

Can you tell us what this represents in the file you were importing?  What chars are in there that might be causing this?  Maybe some special char Smartcat doesn't like in their TM?  Something like that.  Perhaps pick three of the offending TUs and share the content of each one.
