Question improvement suggestion: Provide specific details about any error messages received during the crashes, as well as the exact version of Trados Studio 2024 you are using.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

To address the issue of Trados Studio 2024 crashing unexpectedly in the Editor, please follow these steps:

**Step 1:** Ensure that your Windows operating system is fully updated.

    - Go to the Start button, type "Check for Updates," and select the option. Install any updates found and restart your computer.

**Step 2:** Repair your Trados Studio installation.

    - You can do this by going to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program, selecting Trados Studio, and choosing the Repair option.

**Step 3:** Verify that you have the correct version of the .NET Framework installed.

    - Trados Studio 2024 requires .NET Framework 4.8 or later. You can check this by going to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.

**Step 4:** Refresh your .NET Framework installation.

    - Go to Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows features on or off, uncheck the .NET Framework 4.5 (or higher), restart your computer, then recheck it and restart again.

**Step 5:** Check for corrupted Translation Memories (TMs) or Termbases.

    - Go to Project Settings > Language Pairs > Translation Memory and disable TMs one by one to see if the crash persists. Do the same for Termbases.

**Step 6:** If your translation resources are stored on a shared drive or cloud service, try moving them to your local drive and test if the crashes still occur.

**Step 7:** Reset Trados Studio to its default settings if you suspect installation issues.

    - You can do this by going to File > Options > Reset to Defaults.

If the problem continues after trying these steps, please consider providing any error messages you receive during the crashes, as this information can help in diagnosing the issue further.
