Translation engines from Trados Live not showing in Trados Studio 2024 (desktop)

Hello,

I have created several translation engines in the cloud version of Trados (Trados Live) but some don't appear in my desktop software, Trados Studio 2024.

I've tried a few things without success, but I can't figure out why they don't appear.

I have 8 engines on line

Screenshot of Trados Studio interface showing the 'Translation Engines' tab under 'Resources'. The table lists translation engines with columns for name, description, languages, and location.

and only 4 available in Trados Studio 2024

Screenshot of a dialog box in Trados Studio titled 'Ressources bas es sur le cloud'. It lists translation engines with options to select and view information. Buttons for 'Enregistrer' and 'Annuler' are visible.

Has anyone else encountered the issue as well?

Thank you!

    Hello,

It seems you're experiencing an issue with your translation engines not appearing in Trados Studio 2024 after creating them in Trados Live. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot this issue:

**Step 1:** Ensure you are logged into the same Trados Live account in both Trados Live and Trados Studio 2024. This is crucial for syncing your resources.

**Step 2:** Check if the translation engines you created in Trados Live are set to be available for use in Trados Studio. Sometimes, settings may restrict visibility.

**Step 3:** Verify that you have the latest updates installed for Trados Studio 2024. You can do this by going to Help -> Check for Updates within the application.

**Step 4:** If the engines still do not appear, try clearing the cache for Trados Studio. Close the application, navigate to the following directory:

    `C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio24`

Rename or delete the file named `Language Cloud Machine Translation.bin`, then restart Trados Studio and log back into your Trados Live account.

**Step 5:** If the issue persists, consider checking the resources in your cloud account through a web browser to ensure they are correctly set up.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, please provide more details about any error messages you may have encountered and the operating system you are using. This information will help in diagnosing the problem further.

    Hello,

It seems there may be some confusion regarding the settings for translation engines in Trados Live. Here’s how you can verify and manage your translation engines:

**Step 1:** Log in to your Trados Live account through a web browser.

**Step 2:** Navigate to the "Resources" section and select "Translation Engines." Here, you should see a list of all the translation engines you have created.

**Step 3:** For each translation engine, ensure that you have added the necessary resources, such as Translation Memories and Termbases. This is crucial for the engine to function properly.

**Step 4:** If you do not see an option to enable the engine for Trados Studio, it may be because the integration is automatic when you create the engine. Ensure that you have followed the correct steps to create the engine, as outlined in your previous messages.

**Step 5:** After confirming that the engines are set up correctly, restart Trados Studio and check if the engines now appear.

If you still cannot find the engines or if there are specific settings you are unsure about, please provide more details about the engines you created and any settings you have checked. This will help in diagnosing the issue further.
