Trados Studio 2024 SR1 - 18.1.3.6657 -annoying pop-ups

I have recently updated Trados Studio Freelance 2024 with the above version. Ever since I have been getting an annoying pop-up with a lightbulb icon in the top left corner every time I type "he"?

Otherwise I have the default profile- I have tried switching off plugins but that has no effect. Anyone else experienced the same or have any suggestions?

Question improvement suggestion: Provide a detailed description of the pop-up behavior, including any specific error messages or additional context about when it occurs.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello Chris,

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with an annoying pop-up in Trados Studio 2024 SR1. Here are some steps you can take to potentially resolve this issue:

    **Step 1:** Disable Community Notifications

    - Go to the Help ribbon menu in Trados Studio.

    - Click on Settings and look for options related to Community notifications. Disable them to see if this stops the pop-up.

    **Step 2:** Check for Updates

    - Ensure that your Trados Studio is fully updated. Go to Help > Check for Updates and install any available updates.

    **Step 3:** Repair Installation

    - If the issue persists, consider repairing your installation. Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, find Trados Studio, right-click, and select Repair.

    **Step 4:** Reset User Profile

    - You can also try resetting your user profile. Navigate to C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\ and rename the folder corresponding to your version (e.g., Studio18) to something like Studio18_old. Restart Trados Studio afterward.

    **Step 5:** Check Plugins

    - Since you mentioned trying to switch off plugins, ensure that any plugins related to notifications or community features are disabled.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, please provide more details about the pop-up behavior, and I would be happy to assist further!
