Retrofit problem

I have noticed a problem with retrofit on texts that have manual line breaks. When I try to accept the changes in Studio I get an error message (in German Fehler beim Einfügen der Marker für nachverfolgte Änderungen - presumably in English error on insertion of markers for tracked changes). I set up two identical files, one with and one without manual line breaks; only the one without manual line breaks cleaned properly, the other one generated the error message. I recently changed to Windows 10, which may or may not be part of the problem. Any suggestions?

    Hi Michael,

    If you mean the corrected target file had new lines inserted then you are probably pushing the boundaries of what this feature is capable of doing. It is intended for light editing and not heavy changes. If you get many of these it's probably better to open the revised target as a translatable file and then add your TM using AnyTM so you can ensure the corrected translation into your TM that way.

    You might also find that if you run the alignment for the retrofit this might let you do a little more, but it's not really intended for heavy changes like completely new lines and paragraphs.

    I appreciate that but the dummy texts I used were:
    text
    TESTX (manual line break ie arrow symbol)
    pppppppppppppp (manual line break ie arrow symbol)
    yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy(manual line break ie arrow symbol)
    and
    aatext (hard paragraph return)
    aaTESTX (hard paragraph return)
    yypppppppppppppp (hard paragraph return)
    ppyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy (hard paragraph return)
    I pseudo translated both texts, made arbitary changes back in Word and then attempted retrofit; with the first text triggering an error message

    Hi Michael,

    ok - I tested with your text and it seems to work fine:

    One thing it may be, as you have all the text in one segment as a result of the manual line breaks, is that the tolerance is too strict.  So Studio may be saying... too many changes in this one segment... let's ignore it as I'm being strict.  So reduce it to be more tolerant and it may work.  I actually failed to see the changes the first time I tried it so reduced the tolerance and this worked:
