Question improvement suggestion: Provide specific details about any error messages received during the crashes, and mention the operating system and version you are using.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

It sounds like you're experiencing frustrating crashes with Trados Studio 2024. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

**Step 1:** Ensure your Windows operating system is fully updated. You can do this by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and checking for updates. Install any updates found and restart your computer.

**Step 2:** Repair your Trados Studio installation. You can do this by going to Control Panel > Programs and Features, selecting Trados Studio, and choosing the Repair option.

**Step 3:** Verify that you have the correct version of the .NET Framework installed. Trados Studio 2024 requires .NET Framework 4.8 or later. You can check this in the Windows Features settings.

**Step 4:** Refresh your .NET Framework installation. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows features on or off, uncheck the .NET Framework version, restart your computer, then recheck it and restart again.

**Step 5:** If the crashes occur at specific segments, check for corrupted Translation Memories (TMs) or Termbases. Disable them one by one in Project Settings to see if the crashes persist. If a specific TM or Termbase is causing the issue, you may need to recreate it.

**Step 6:** Ensure that your translation resources are stored locally on your computer rather than on a shared drive or cloud service, as this can sometimes lead to access issues.

**Step 7:** If the problem continues, consider resetting Trados Studio to its default settings.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, please provide any error messages you may be receiving, as well as details about your operating system, so we can assist you further.
