Question improvement suggestion: Please provide the exact error message you receive when trying to open the translated documents in MS Word, as well as the operating system you are using.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

It seems you are experiencing issues with opening translated documents in MS Word after updating to Trados Studio 2024. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

**Step 1:** Verify the error message. If you receive a specific error message when trying to open the document, please note it down as it can provide valuable information for troubleshooting.

**Step 2:** Check for updates. Ensure that you have the latest version of Trados Studio 2024 installed. Sometimes, updates can resolve compatibility issues.

**Step 3:** Test with a different project. Since you mentioned that the project created in Trados Studio 2019 opens without issues, try creating a new project in Trados Studio 2024 and see if the problem persists.

**Step 4:** Reset Trados Studio settings. You can reset your Trados Studio settings to default by going to 'File' > 'Options' > 'Reset User Settings'. This can sometimes resolve unexpected behavior.

**Step 5:** Repair the installation. If the issue continues, consider repairing your Trados Studio installation through the Control Panel.

**Step 6:** Check the Word document structure. Sometimes, the issue may be related to the structure or settings of the Word document itself. Try copying the content to a new Word document and see if that resolves the issue.

**Step 7:** Contact support if necessary. If none of the above steps work, you may need to reach out for further assistance, as there could be a more complex issue at play.
