Error in Studio 2019 on Windows 11 on Parallels

Hello,

I’ve been using Studio 2019 on Parallels with Windows 11 for a year, and it was working perfectly until two weeks ago. Since I received this error message: ‘IP Project Management Service could not be started’, I’ve tried every possible solution, including reinstalling 2019, but nothing has helped. What else can I do?

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello Daniela,

It sounds like you're facing a frustrating issue with Trados Studio 2019 on Windows 11 via Parallels. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the 'IP Project Management Service could not be started' error:

**Step 1:** Close Trados Studio completely.

**Step 2:** Navigate to the following directory:

    `C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\19`

(Ensure that hidden items are visible in Windows File Explorer by clicking on the "View" tab and checking the "Hidden items" checkbox.)

**Step 3:** Rename the `Plugins` folder to `Plugins_old`. This will disable any third-party plugins that might be causing the issue.

**Step 4:** Check if the .NET Framework is properly installed. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows features on or off, and ensure that .NET Framework 3.5 and .NET Framework 4.8 Advanced Services are checked.

**Step 5:** If the issue persists, consider running a repair installation of Trados Studio. Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, find Trados Studio, right-click on it, and select "Repair".

**Step 6:** Check for any antivirus software that could be interfering with the application. Adding the Trados Studio installation folder as an exception in your antivirus settings can sometimes resolve such issues.

**Step 7:** If none of these steps work, you may want to check for any recent Windows updates or reinstall Trados Studio as a last resort.

If you continue to experience issues, please provide any additional details about the error message or any other troubleshooting steps you've already attempted.
