The .sdltm file is stored on a memory stick.
After opening the laptop from sleep regime and trying to continue working by saving segment i.e. updating a TM, the software crashed and after a new execution of Trados, Trados told that the TM is corrupt.
How to recover the TM?

Trados still considers "repaired.sdltm" (created with the free plugin SDLTM Repair) as corrupt. In fact, the error for repaired TM is "The requested data file could not be located.".
Please reject my answer, so any colleague will see your issue as pending. I'd recommend you to add anything you've already tried.
If there is a backup of the TM, you can simply remove the corrupted TM from your current project, add the old TM to your project, then Update Main Translation Memories to add the translated segments to the TM.
I seem to have a backup .bak from this February but I have been using the corrupted one for many projects and the comparison of the size of corrupted and backup one is about 50% in KB. This indicates that I am able to restore half of the corrupted TM?

I don't really know, but you can always update that TM with the projects from February and March.
This use case highlights the importance of regular backups. We do daily backups, we use the backups just a couple of times every year, but they definitely pay-off.
