Highlighting matching words

Question

Dear Trados Support Team, 
 In my current workflow, I often need to filter out segments containing two words within a segment, regardless of their position within the sentence. 
 I have found that highlighting regular expressions such as (?i)(?=.*courier)(?=.*number) filter out segments containing the strings, but they do not highlight the matching words. When I use a simpler regular expression, such as courier|number, both words are highlighted correctly. 
 I am using the latest version of Trados Studio 2024 (SR1), build 18.1.3.6657. 
 Is this behavior a feature or a bug?

 Try this other regex: (courier.*?number|number.*?courier) 
 It will highlight the first occurrence of either courier or number until the second ocurrence of number or courier (with all characters in between as well). 
 About your question:

 That's the expected behaviour, since your regex (?=.*courier) just asserts that there is a courier string ahead, but it doesn't match it, so it's not highlighted. More information re. assertions here: https://www.regular-expressions.info/lookaround.html
