I have acquired the starter version of Studio 2015 and the new project function remains deactivated. Is that normal? What am I supposed to do to have this function activated?

Hi Judith,
As shown in the chart below, you cannot create projects with the starter edition.

You should be able to do this because this does not require you to create a project. After you opened a document for translation, save it and then run the batch task "Analyze".

Out of curiosity, I activated a copy of Studio 2015 with a Starter license code and tested this.
The good news: you can run the Analyze batch task on a single-file project and get an analysis report.
These are the batch tasks available in the Starter edition:
On the other hand, I support Paul's remark that the needs of Judith may well go beyond the capabilities of the Starter version, which is basically meant to be used to work on project packages one receives.
