In Trados Studio, the issue comes from the locale-specific date/time formatting rules in the language resource or Windows regional settings.

If you want the TM to keep standard AM/PM instead of converting to localized words, try the following:

1. Open your project or TM settings:
   • Project Settings → Language Pairs → Translation Memory and Automated Translation
   • Or:
   • Options → Language Resources
2. Check the Date/Time format settings:
   • Disable locale adaptation if available.
   • Use a custom format such as:
     • hh:mm tt
     • or h:mm tt
3. In many cases, Trados inherits the format from Windows Regional Settings:
   • Open Windows:
     • Control Panel → Region
   • Change the format for Filipino/Tagalog:
     • Set AM symbol = AM
     • Set PM symbol = PM
4. If the TM already contains localized forms (umaga, hapon), you may need:
   • a search/replace batch task
   • or a custom QA rule / regex substitution

Common regex replacements:

• \bumaga\b → AM
• \bhapon\b → PM

Also check whether the issue happens:

• during AutoSuggest
• in machine translation
• or after target segment formatting

because the source can affect where the conversion occurs.
