Variable not recognised as a placeable

I have more than one TM in my project. One of the TMs includes a variable list.

When the TM with a variable list is the first TM in the project settings, then the variables are recognised as placeables (they are shown with a blue underline).

When the TM with a variable list is not the first TM, then the variables are not recognised as placeables.

Can anyone reproduce this problem? Or is it unique to me?

Regards,

Bruce

  • Hi,

Just today I had a similar problem. I had added some variables to the TM using the OpenExchange app ”SDLTM Variables Manager“, re-indexed it and then some of the variables were not recognised either.

I needed to delete some variables to make it working again, like “Met1” (anyway recognized as variable because the “Alphanumeric strings” was checked), ”Met 1“, “MET1”, MET 1“, “MET1B”, and some variables with commas or dots, like ”Company, Inc“ (because I read that puntuation is not allowed in variables).

I did it fast just trying to make it work again asap, I wished I had done it more rationally, but this is what I think I did.

    BTW: I use Studio 2014.
