Autocorrect to add non breaking space before punctuation

Question

Hello, 
 I tried to add an autocorrect entry to Studio 2015, where an exclamation mark would be changed automatically in a non breaking space and an exclamation mark (required in French). However, autocorrect seems to have trouble with that space. Ctrl + Shift + Space bar doesn't do a thing in the options, and when I type an ordinary space, the autocorrect function doesn't change a thing in the editor. The autocorrect function is however working for other entries, so it is working, but just not for my entry. Am I overlooking something or is this simply not possible? 
 The only thing I'd like is autocorrect to act like it does in Word when the language is set to French. Word adds that non breaking space before exclamation marks, questions marks, etc.

I tried to do the same thing and indeed it does not work. If my replace rule is this: 
 
"!" -> " !" 
 
Nothing happens while I type (I enabled the "Replace test as you type" option). 
 
But if I define a rule that looks like this: 
 
"table!" -> "table !" 
 
It does work. So at a first glance it looks like a defect. 
 
An easy workaround for you would be to do a global "Replace All" after you are done with the translation. I just tried that and it works. CTRL+F will open the Find and Replace dialog, then go to Replace and use the "Replace All" button at the bottom.

Hi guys, 
 
I can copy paste a non-breaking space in there and it works. But only if the exclamation mark doesn't immediately follow a character. So if you type a space and then the exclamation you'll see it works. So I guess the best workaround for now is the search and replace which is quite straightforward.
