How do I get Studio 2015 to remember the window size the next time I open the application?

This may seem like a trivial question, but it is a daily annoyance and I haven't been able to find the solution myself. For the past year or so (possibly since the last Studio upgrade?) I have had to manually resize the main window every time I launch the application. No matter what I do, it opens in the top left corner of the screen, at about 3/4 of the screen height and 1/2 of the screen width. My main monitor has a resolution of 1920 x 1080, and I have a secondary monitor with a resolution of 1280 x 1024. I am running Windows 10 Home on a Core i5-6600 CPU. All suggestions are welcome!

  • Ah, yes, thanks for pointing that out, Jerzy.... silly me!

And now I see that, oops, the link has been truncated automatically anyway... Sorry. Ben, I didn't check...! Too overloaded with work. I'm not complaining, that's always a good thing even if it means you've just worked through the night.

Anyway, the link leads to an interesting discussion about which setup scenarios appear to be triggering this bug, and expressing the hope that a solution would be found soon.

Daniel Brockmann did give this info:
Also a tip - if you want to force certain coordinates to be used you can use an application such as Sizer: www.brianapps.net/sizer/ . It is excellent for me as it allows me to set a certain default size for capturing videos, for instance. But as I said, I can't repro in the first place and hope to get more details on how to repro.

Let's hope the next CU solves this irritating problem!
I'm fortunate in that I don't have this problem myself...
    All the best,
