I can't generate the target translation after finishing a translation in Studio 2015 SR2

Question

Hi! I received an error message following a failed attempt to generate target translation from Studio 2015 SR2. It seems the box symbol (there are a lot of them in the file, since it's a survey, so every answer choice starts with the box symbol) might be the culprit, but I am not certain. Can someone give me some suggestions regarding how to solve this issue?

I think the procedure in KB article 9480 is way too complicated! Since the issue I experienced was different from the scenario described in the KB article, I created a new project, imported the problem file and started the whole translation process using the same TM. It still took quite some time because I had to reinsert all those tags, but at least I was able to generate the target translation. 
I still don't know whether the issue was caused by the box symbols in the source file or by something else. But to be safe, I will create new projects for future files instead of adding them to pre-SR2 projects.
