Object reference not set to an instance of an object on .stppk packages with multiple languages

Hi!
I have SDL Studio 2015 working on Windows 10.
One of my customers usually sends a .stppk package that includes dozens of languages, from western to asiatic, usually more than 20.
With Studio 11 and before Windows 10 I always managed to open the package; would pick just my language and then would work on it, returning the individual sdlxliff file.
After SDL 2015 and Windows 10, whenever I try to open such a package I always get all the normal messages while it is trying to open:

Preparing package for import
Adding files
Converting files to sdlxliff format
Updating word count
Calculating translation progress
Processing translation progress

and then, the last one:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object

and it stops there... I never manage to go into any other view or do anything else. It just stays there with that window open and I have to cancel and withdraw. I never even manage to see the files.

Is there a solution for this problem or, at least, an idea of what is causing it? I never had problems with previous versions of SDL.

Thank you for your help.

  • Hi Teresa,

Are you working with Studio 2015 SR2 12.2.5082.0?  Would be good to know as the problem may be related to that rather than something else.  Also, can you provide the error stack as "Object Reference" errors are very general so we need a little more detail.

If you save it to your desktop and zip it you should be able to attach the zip to this post by replying with the rich formatting option checked (see this article if you don't know how to do that).  So click on this little disk symbol to save the error stack:

This should help with a diagnosis of the problem.

    Regards
