Unable to open client packages after installing Studio 2015 SR2

Hi there, I have the same issue as Gabriele (below): I have just installed Studio 2015 SR2, and am now unable to open any client packages - either new ones or previously translated ones. Please can anyone help? The complete error message is:

Task: NoAutoUpdate

Task: Open Retrofit
Description: Opens a retrofit file in the Alignment View.

Task: Open Alignment
Description: Opens an alignment in the Alignment View.
Usage: SDLTradosStudio.exe /openAlignment <alignment>

/openAlignment The full file path to the alignment you want to open.

Task: Create Project
Description: Starts the Create Project wizard.
Usage: SDLTradosStudio.exe /createProject [/files <file1> [<file2> <folder1> ...]] [/name <name>] [/template <template>] [/referenceProject <referenceProject>]
Arguments:
/createProject Starts the Create Project wizard.
/files The full file path of one or more documents or folders to add to the Create Project wizard.
/name The name of the Project
/template An existing template name or file path to use.

  • Just came across this thread because I had exactly the same issue today. I updated to SR2 about a week ago and today a client sent me a package which resulted in the same error messages as described above. After some testing, I found that I couldn't open any of my existing packages (which I had previously successfully set up) either any more. At this point I was fairly sure that SR2 was to blame, so I rolled back to SR1 (deinstalled Studio SR2 and re-installed SR1 from the archive on the SDL site). This immediately resolved the problem.

    I haven't tried the fix described above yet, because I'm staying away from SR2 for now. Just thought you might be interested to hear that the "corrupted update installation" is not an isolated instance.
