I did not feel offended at all by your post.

My Mac not having Retina resolution (yet:-)), I can't give you an answer from personal experience. My understanding was that the option I mentioned should solve this problem, but I can't verify this myself.

On the other hand, I know users who use Studio in a PVM on a Retina Mac, so it must work.

Maybe they can comment on this.

I also suggest you post this question in the proz.com forum as well as there are quite a few active Mac users there.

In order to get rid of compressed menus and other distortion, use Walter's suggestion – go to VM configuration and change the setting in Graphics tab.

Make sure that "Best for Retina Display" is NOT selected. Use "Scaled. Best for legacy apps." instead.

The view will not be Retina-crisp-and-sharp, but the interface will be just fine.
