I have tried to change the program for opening under Properties - General - Open with... for the file type .sdltm. However it still doesn't work.

This happened to me and I solved it by repairing the SDL installation. It's just a couple of minutes in your Windows Control Panel, go to Uninstall or change a program, select SDL Trados Studio and click the Repair button on top.

Hi Carola,
Perhaps it might be easier to do this in the Studio Editor View when you have the files you proofed open? You could use the "Translate to Fuzzy" function to find the segments that are different and change them in the TM Results window rather than having to work through the TM itself in what might be a less efficient way.
Just a thought.

ok - can you tell me if the icons in windows explorer look like this? So the green and yellow SDLTM icon with the "SDL File-Based Translation Memory" recognised as the file associated with it?
Thanks
