I'm getting this error message for every new project. This is not rare... I tried the instructions provided in article KB #9480, but iIt is time consuming. What other options do we have? The previous version was just working fine. Please advise. Thanks!

It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.
Are you using the Default project template? You can find the template that you are using in this folder: C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\Documents\Studio 2015\Project Templates
Open the file with a text editor (for example Notepad++) and search for: MicrosoftOffice.Common and change it to MicrosoftOffice.Core.Common (by default it occurs four times).
Save the modifications, and try to create a new project.

The KB article states "the affected project or project template", which is clear as it depends on the template you based your project on. If you open a single file for translation, it will always use the default project template, if you work with projects it uses the project template you used to create the project.
