How can I import a docx in AutoText?

Question

Import *.autoxt file (docx convert to .autotxt), Studio 2015 (options) 
 Error: "The list of entries does not contain AutoText...". 
 How can I import a list of words in word into autotext?

Hello Anastasia, 
 You have to put them into a file that is the format accepted for import... it's not MSWord. The easiest way to do this is to add a couple of entries in Studio, under the AutoText menu like this:

So I added two words in the English(US) autotext. Then export the file to your desktop. What you get is a simple text file that looks like this: 
 
 Note that there is an empty line first, and then the language code and then just a list of terms. So once you have this (for your language obviously) you can copy paste your MSWord list into this file and then import this one.

I pointed out the space so you left it there, not so you pasted into it. My bad for not explaining that well enough!! You need to have this: 
 
Empty line 
Language Code 
Your list of words 
 
You have to make sure the language code is correct for each import and also make sure your language is correct when you import it. Once you know how to do this you can skip the export step. That was just to show you how to make sure you get the import format correct as it should be the same. It's a helpful step with any import/export tool.

Yes, that's correct. It must be the target language as you are correcting target text. 
 
I meant you can skip the Export step. The format is simple so you just create your text file and import it.

Why not? It's only a text file renamed with the autotxt extension. If it wasn't then notepad++ wouldn't even be able to read it! Regards Paul
