Trados 2011 Studio Pro gets error (Support reference: NoNetworkConnection - 310)

When trying to connect to a License server I get the error even though I can ping the server, what might be the issue?

Error Details: The license server is not responding. Please check your network connection.

    Instead of opening a new thread, I thought it might be better to post here since we have an issue with the same error message and code.

    "Cannot connect to the license server. Please check that you have entered the correct license server name and have network access.

    Error Details: The license server is not responding. Please check your network connection.

    (Support reference: NoNetworkConnection -310)"

    Bizarrely, it only concerns the desktop computers in our office in Slovakia, but not the ones in Brussels (where the license server is physically located). We get the error message for Studio 2011, but not for Trados 2007.

    Our network admin has already tried everything in the KB article you linked above, to no avail.

    If you have any other suggestion, we'd be very grateful for any hint.
