Studio doesn't recognize two-word terms with inflection on both words

Hi, I'm a bit stunned here, because I've just found out that the Studio doesn't recognize compound terms (e.g. two-word terms), especially when a term is relatively short. I have a term "dolna stacja" and its equivalent "upper terminus" in one of my termbases. Now, when I come across a slightly inflected form of the term (in my case it was "dolnej stacji"), Studio couldn't find it. I lowered the Minimum Match Value to 30, but it didn't help at all... Why is it like that? I thought that such low value should produce a number of results, including a cornucopia of false positives?

  • Hi Paul,
This is really surprising. I mean, it should work like in your example, but in my case it doesn't work, whatsoever. Currently, I'm using the SR1, but only because I returned to it from SR2 due to this problem... I'll try to install SR2 again and see the result, but I'm pretty sure it will be the same. I'm starting to suspect there's something wrong with my termbases, although I tried this thing in SR2 even with an Excel file, as you might guess without any result. How the heck did you manage to do it?
if I have a little more time, I'll post a video, showing that all my settings should yield the same result as in your case, but they don't...
