Studio 2015: Impossible to Open Package

Question

I have been using Studio 2015 Freelance SR2 since December 2015 without problems. Now it has changed. I wanted to open a new package from a client. I clicked on Open Package, I chose a Project Folder and Finish. Import started but after 2 seconds I got an error message. The text was in Czech (my local language), I have translated it into English: 
 "Entered path, file name or both these parameters are too long. The complete file name must be shorter than 260 characters and the folder name must be shorter than 248 characters (1 errors, 0 warnings)." 
 I do not use any long names of files, folders etc. 
 I tried to open the Package in Studio 2014 and it worked! Everything worked (import, translation, RPX). So I was wondering why it was not working in Studio 2015. Was the fault of my client&rsquo;s side? Thanks.

Check the real path length in Studio 2015. Most probably the package would have been opened there in a different folder with much longer path as this is now the case in S2014. 
The warning does not come from Studio, but is a general limit in Windows, where any path and file name may not exceed 260 characters. 
So this is entirely a problem with the file names and path length, caused partially by your customer. Maybe the customer used even diacritical characters in the file names, which makes them even longer... Using such characters has become typical now, is however a very bad habit. 
Try to open the package in Studio 2015 again, but select a shorter path. Or simply start Studio 2015 and select "Open project". Then you can go to the package received in S2014 and start translating it in S2015.
